Quote- To watch us dance is to hear our hearts speak I like this proverb because I think its a positive way to look at life.

Famous people- Ravi Shankar is a famous Indian musician and composer. I feel like he's an important person because he shows more of an artistic side to India rather than just a philosophical side.

Religion-Hinduism, its one of the oldest religions, and it's very diverse. Islam, it makes up for 13% of Indian religion ,they can marry more than one woman. Sikhism, its the coolest. They don't cut their hair and they only believe in one god, but other than that they're similar to Hinduism. I'm only going to mention these three because they're the most practiced, but idian people all over are pretty excepting of most religions

Music- india is extremely diverse with their music. Pop and folk are very popular, as well as traditional music. They're known for playing the sitar, which is like a tall twangy guitar/lute its cool, its made out of pumpkin and gord.

Food- the food is spicy. They eat things like curry, rice and a lot of spices are in Indian food. Most indian people don't eat beef or piggies(yay), so a lot of beans and vegetable are in their food. They use lots of potatoes, cumin, pepper and ginger.

Geography- India is in asain and its right on the ocean. It goes through times that are rally dry and times that are rainy, and when it does rain its a celebration. It's very worm, but not humid. Theres also a lot of desserts in India, and some parts are covered in mountains.

Women- women are treated normally now in india.however, they used to be treated a little differently. They used to be married off at very young ages, like 8, to old men that were like 60. If their husbands died, they were forced to be burned with them.

The future- i see india doing very well in the future, because they are so technologically advanced. A lot of young people from india do attend practically ivy league technical colleges.

Resources- i did a huge project on India in 10th grade so i had a lot of saved information, i used wikipedia for the food though.

Family history- I'm mostly Irish, my grandparents came over from ireland. I only know of being irish but im sure im like dutch and swiss and stuff like that too.
