The Industrial Revolution occurred in the late 18th century, and into the early 19th century.
It occurred when changes in manufacturing, agriculture, and transportation came about.
Such changes would be the replacement of people manually working to machines being brought into factories.
These changes were brought about when the way things were produced and where became more important to consumers.
The revolution started in Great Britain and eventually made its way into the United States.
The Industrial Revolution affected the social aspects of the United States because many people began coming here to work in the factories and relocate to cities, causing the cities to become more populated.
Although the lower classes of society sometimes suffered, most people enjoyed more success after the revolution.
Eventually, almost all of human society would be affected by the Industrial Revolution.
Iron
Iron is usually used in the production of steel.
Venetian Red (an oxide of iron) is used in painting railroad cars and bridges.
The production of iron in factories such as Andrew Carnegies provided many jobs for people of the poverty level.
Oil
An oil is any substance that is in a a viscous liquid state at ambient temperatures or slightly warmer.
Oil wasis used for heat, burning, painting, and even sometimes for religious purposes.
John Rockefeller started one of the most successful oil corporations. With money from his companies, he donated a total of $550 million dollars.
