Here's one you might not have known... there are more potential nueral connections in the brain (yes, even yours... ) than there are molecules in the known universe. Gosh.
Yes, I'm really going to be out. Because I demonstrate affection and respect through things like document analysis, thesis construction and reading very heavy books on history, however, I left you lots of goodies to do while I am out. I hereby declare also a temporary blackout of Random Discussion Thread postings during A block tomorrow. Any other time is super-fine. You can do it. Believe in yourselves!
Whoever made the last post, read this. If you do not use your real names, then I will shut the entire forum down. This is not a place for just anyone to post. It is for my students only. If it is abused, it vanishes, understood?

Just so everyone knows Francis Wright and Frances Wright are two completely different people. I noticed it while I was working on the Zinn assignment because Mr.e had made an typo on his original post.....
So what are the numbers on everything for the debate? I know some people had it confused when the bell rang.
2 Questions, 5 Claims and 10 Quotes Remember that your questions should balance your attack on your opponent with your support for your own position. You should effectively try to do both. Don't simply ask direct questions. Ask analytical ones that require the other side to create answers (ones that support your position ideally). If you can obtain an admission in this way, you gain a tactical advantage in debate.
Your claims should represent the strengths of the arguments you are making. Consider them thesis statements for your particular position. Make sure you explain your claims in a clear and direct manner. Don't create ambiguities or generalize. Be specific and direct. It's better to be understood (whether your opponent agrees with your or not) than to create confusion and then redirect your energy into reexplaining yourself.
Your evidence should directly apply to the specific claim you are making. It can provide specific information to justify your claim or it can create a context that can allow your claim to be better understood. Evidence should represent primary sources, not secondary ones.
